    Tired After A Great Lunch

What a start to our safari adventure. On the first game drive we came across this young male. He just came from his lunch and was really tired as he passed out jeep. I was hoping he would start yawning as he passed the jeep. Yep, and here we go. Take a look closer at his mouth and you can see all the flies around him.

  • Peaceful Morning

    Peaceful Morning

On the morning game drive it was cold and very foggy. As the sun started to come out we came across this beautiful and peaceful scenery. As peaceful as it looks the antilopes are allways aware and looking around for predators.

    Where is my breakfast

Our 8 year old son had the great idea to go for cage diving with the great white shark. Of course we couldn't "resist". We drove down to Gaansbaai and did the trip with Marine Dynamics. After a short time the first ones came to the boat and I could got some great shots. But to go into the cage and see them up close is an incredible experience. Another highlight of our trip to South Africa.

    Come and Play with me

Come and play with me - One of the best experience on our trip to Tanzania. We were following the Great Migration. On that day our driver brought us to a waterhole where the migration was passing by. A lioness and her cubs were very relaxed as one of the cubs got bored and started playing with the zebras. He is still to young to hunt by himself, but he starts practicing. He walked up to the zebras very calm and just suddenly he started running and all zebras got scared and run away. The cub tried his same behavior like ten times. It was an unbelievable and unforgettable scenery.

  • The Black One

    The Black One

By traveling to Kenya for the first time, it was my dream to see black rhinos in their natural habitat. Shortly after arriving in the magnificent Ol Pejeta Conservancy I saw two black rhinos in the open grassland. They were relaxed, but intensely observed me, the jeep and every movement we made. The bigger one had a very powerful look in his eyes which caught my attention. A rare, unique and unforgettable sight. Black rhinos are critically endangered. There are roughly only 5000 left in Africa, 745 are living in Kenya. At Ol Pejeta Conservancy they have the highest population of over 130. It is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa. Definitely one highlight of my dream safari adventure in Kenya.
